Thought for the Day by Barack Obama

We, the people, still believe that our obligations as Americans are not just to ourselves, but to all posterity. We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations. By Barack Obama
Okay, so your cubicle is boring, you haven’t had a good date in what seems like decades and every day is the “same old, same old” with nothing happening to make you feel revved up and excited.
Clearly, that’s no way to live.
But the key to getting the life you want is to make changes in your routine and kick it in the a** a little bit, so our days aren’t spent like Bill Murray in “Groundhog Day” — experiencing the same thing over and over again, day after excruciating day.
In less time than it took Murray to learn the life lessons of “Groundhog Day,” you can do the same, starting the ball rolling on a new, improved life that looks much brighter…no matter what challenges you might be facing.

Somehow this does not motivate me.
so let's joust with windmills, that may or may not be caused by us, that we may or may not even be able to affect, as opposed to things that will impact the lives of our children that we *know* is caused by us, that we *know* we can change, which is a clear betrayal of our decendents.. like the level of government spending and accumulating more debt. Why? Because it's not about the weather. It's about the money. Jousting with windmills == more money to play with, tackling spending and debt == less money to play with.

Not sure I understand why you think that the statement by President Obama is worthy of repeating. Climate change is the new name for global warming – which is really code for why you should tolerate a lower standard of living while the elite continue to improve theirs. WAKE UP!
The legacy that government intervention into the non-issue of "global warming/climate" change isn't about taking care of the next generation, it is about enslaving them.

One of the dumbest things he said so far.
Obama just wants to steal from the hardworking, productive, risk taking, job creators of society to give to his lazy slacker leach supporters so they will continue to vote for socialist do nothing presidents.
