From day one, when you enter a workplace, you will be slammed with acronyms, jargon, and best of all buzzwords! You have no need to worry, the Ridiculous Business Jargon Dictionary comes to the rescue. All you do is search for your buzzword (or business slang) and it will populate the definition). A few of my favorite more phrases are below:
Blamestorming [v.] Meeting to discuss a failure and find a scapegoat.
Bouncebackability [adj.] The ability to reverse a losing situation and then succeed.
Head shunting [v.] The secret hiring of a head hunter to persuade an ineffectual employee to take a position at another firm. Nicely eliminates the mess of having to fire someone.
Homing from work [v.] Using technology to keep in touch with personal concerns while at work.
Travel dazzle [exp.] An attempt to impress your boss while on a business trip together.
The list is not all about laughs, it really has some helpful phrases if you are constantly hearing a phrase that doesn’t translate well or if you just can’t figure out the meaning. What are your favorites from the list? Let us know in the comments.
