Eggs have the ability to radically transform your life! For the better! I’ve never met a food source quite like the egg! Interesting looking, with a mind of it’s own, so easy going … allowing themselves to be fried, boiled, scrambled, flipped, baked, mixed in with others, dyed, hunted, juggled, the list is endless! Once they’re peeled, they will happily dance out of your hands, with an attitude like none other! And if carelessly placed on the counter top, will gleefully stroll quickly to the floor! Their qualities are exceptional and that’s why I’m going to explain to you why an egg is more than “just an egg!”

Lets begin at the beginning … egg facts … 1 deliciously large egg contains:

  • About 78 calories
  • 5.3 grams total fat
  • 0.6 grams total carbohydrates
  • 6.3 grams protein

Lecithin … which is contained in the egg’s vibrantly hued yolk, will radically transform your life! Efficiently and happily, helping your body to rid itself of excess stored fuel, breaking it down! Our bodies are dependent upon food sources to get adequate amounts of lecithin and according to Oregon State University’s Linus Pauling Institute, one of the best sources of lecithin are eggs. Did I mention how amazing eggs were?

The white part of the egg is rich in selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper. The egg yolk, also contains some vitamin D, which aids in calcium absorption and assists in preventing osteoporosis, vital for a productive life!

Muscle building testosterone is created from cholesterol and as such, the egg is a perfect source for a building block for testosterone!

Eggs have a wonderfully high protein content, satisfying your body and mind, with long lasting energy! Perfect for enjoying before exercise, school, work, or any activity that requires endurance!

They also contain an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are considered essential fatty acids. They are necessary for human health, but unfortunately your body cannot produce them, you have to get them through the foods you eat, umm.edu

Eggs are an incredible brain food! If you have important matters to take care of that require concentration and thought, eggs are your “go to” food source! The choline in them is a key component of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter in the brain that is essential for sleep, memory, attention and mood! Simply amazing!

Your beautiful hair, skin and nails are strengthened, because eggs contain all the amino acids that are needed to build keratins, a group of tough, fibrous proteins that form the structural framework of certain cells!

Fun Facts …

Egg coloring began in the Middle Ages! Members of the nobility and royalty exchanged eggs that were covered in gold leaf and those who were poorer, dyed their eggs pretty colors and then they exchanged them as gifts!

Indulge in some of these delectable egg recipes …

  • Eggs Benedict
  • Eggs Florentine
  • Frittata Florentine

Wonderful Travel Tip …

Eggs make an ideal travel companion! I hard boil one dozen eggs before any trip, place them in quart sized baggies, then place them in an insulated bag with a cold pack. They help to maintain my energy and mood in the airport, on the airplane and once I land. They make a wonderful snack at my destination! I place them in my refrigerator in my hotel room and enjoy them between meals, saving me from eating less desirable foods!

I hope I have inspired you to look at eggs in a whole new way! Give them a chance to show you why they are one exquisitely designed food!
